Description
Shimano 2021 Game Type J Jigging Spinning Rods keep evolving. These lightweight and powerful rods are designed for vertical jigging. If you’ve never vertical jigged for big pelagics, this is a completely different animal. The Game Type J is light enough that you can jig all day, but has the incredible amount of backbone necessary to land big fish. Blending Spiral X and Hi-Power X construction processes, these rods are extremely thin and lightweight. Shimano has outfitted the Game Type J Spinning Rods with top of the line Fuji K Frame SiC guides that are designed for braided lines. They use a custom CI4+ reel seat that is almost weightless yet incredibly strong, and revamped EVA fore and rear grips. The H, XH and XXH models have a Fuji reel seat to accommodate larger reels. You a can fish them with any shape vertical jig and they work great! If you love fishing for big fish, this is a great series. It has everything you need and the quality is excellent.
Shimano Game Type J Jigging Spinning Rods are available in six models. Choose from ML-XXH. They are gray.

Timothy Mitchell –
I’ve fished with the Shimano 2021 Game Type-J and it’s strong, responsive, and very capable for jigging. The rod feels balanced in hand, with good backbone to load hard jigs and drive hooks home on big fish. It’s sensitive enough to feel subtle bites but stout enough for serious pressure. Overall, it gave me confidence in tough saltwater conditions and handled heavy jigging sessions without fatigue. A solid choice if you’re into serious jig fishing.
