Hi-Power X utilizes diagonally wrapped carbon tape that runs up and down the length of the blanks outermost layer to reinforce its twist resistance. This also allows Shimano to perfect precise actions for the blank, specifically tuned for big game and the trolling tactics that go with them.

Spiral X Construction consists of multiple layers of carbon tape that tightly winds the blank diagonally in opposite directions, enhancing torsional and compression rigidity without adding extra weight.
