That being said, the Dark Matter Mojo’s ability to bottom fish, jig and chunk has been a very pleasant surprise. Still built with the finest components, the Dark Matter Mojo series rod features Alps oversized heavy duty graphite reel seats, Alps aluminum gimbal butts, and heavy duty double footed Fuji Alconite guides. A glossy black finish plays host to a beautiful striped bass sticker and silver and black guide wraps down the blank. A heavy power rod, the Dark Matter Mojo rods have a moderate-fast action that’s ideal for hours of trolling. During testing, Joe from the shop easily landed (and safely released) a girthy 48 inch striped bass off Rockaway reef in late May. From then on out, we knew we hit a home run.
